Ann-Kristin Vester

CEO at CorrelAid

Ann-Kristin Vester has been part of CorrelAids management team since July 2024 after several years working as a CorrelAid volunteer in projects and as a board member for education. She studied empirical social research in Bonn, Stuttgart and Copenhagen, worked for several years as a data scientist in the IT and financial sector and taught courses in R.

Prof. Donna Ankerst

Professor of Biostatistics at Technical University Munich

Donna Ankerst is Vice Dean of Talent Management and Diversity at the TUM School of Computation, Information and Technology alongside her professor position in the TUM Department of Mathematics, where her research focuses on biostatistical methodology for the development of clinical risk prediction tools. 


Katharina Brunner

Data Journalist at Public Broadcaster Bayerischer Rundfunk, BR Data 

Katharina Brunner is a data journalist at BR Data/BR Recherche. Previous stations include the Süddeutsche Zeitung, the Bavarian Research Institute for Digital Transformation and Burda Verlag. Her work has been awarded the Nannen Prize (2019) and the Saarland University Journalism Prize for Computer Science (2019), among others.


Marie-Louise Timcke

Head of Data Department & Data Journalist at Süddeutsche Zeitung

Marie-Louise Timcke is a programming journalist and has been head of the data department at Süddeutsche Zeitung since 2022. She studied data journalism in the Ruhr area and is co-founder of an initiative for more data understanding in journalism. After her traineeship in the interactive department of the Berliner Morgenpost, she headed the team that moved to the Funke Mediengruppe's central editorial office in 2018. 

Prof. Dr. Oleksandra Poquet 

Professor of Learning Analytics at Technical University Munich

Oleksandra Poquet (Sasha Poquet) is a tenure-track professor in learning analytics at the TUM School of Social Sciences and Technology. Prof. Dr Poquet leads a LEAPS research group that studies Learning Analytics and Practices in Systems. Prof. Dr Poquet is a core member of the Munich Data Science Institute and a thematic lead on the use of process data to inform learning at the TUM's EdTech Centre. She is also an external affiliate of the Centre for Change and Complexity in Learning, University of South Australia. 

Olga Kononykhina 

Research Associate & PhD Candidate at Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich

Olga Kononykhina is a researcher and data consultant with over 15 years of experience transforming complex data into meaningful insights across projects in Europe, the USA, and Africa. With expertise in both Applied Mathematics and Sociological Research, she has developed innovative systems for measuring nonprofit impact, government capacity to improve citizens’ quality of life, or holistic corporate engagement. Her collaborations with UNESCO, statistical organizations, and others have led to the creation of new metrics in diverse fields, including cultural diplomacy, national satellite account, or stock exchange indices.

Currently pursuing a PhD in statistics, her research focuses on improving data quality for machine learning in occupational data measurement. Olga is committed to “making the world better measured” while always remembering the individuals whose lives and stories generate the data.

Sabine Weiß

Managing Consultant & Teamlead Project and Risk Management Solutions at NTT DATA

Sabine Weiß is a managing consultant, project management expert, and team lead in Project and Risk Management Solutions at NTT DATA, specializing in product development processes and systems engineering. With 17 years of experience working with clients in the automotive and aerospace industries, she combines her technical expertise with a passion for diversity and inclusion, drawing on her personal journey of balancing career and family as a mother of two. Graduating with a degree in International Business Management, she now leverages data-driven insights and agile methodologies to optimize processes and help clients succeed in today's fast-paced, data-centric environments.

Svea Windwehr

Co-Chair of D64 – Center for Digital Progress e.V.

Svea is digital policy expert and focuses on digital rights and the governance of online platforms. She coordinates the European policy work of the Electronic Frontier Foundation, an international non-profit committed to defending free speech, privacy and innovation. She previously headed the Center for User Rights at the Society for Civil Rights, where she focused on the enforcement and strengthening of user rights. Previously, she worked at Google, the German Ministry of Labour & Social Affairs and the European Commission. She is the co-chair of D64 - Center for Digital Progress e.V. and serves on the board of the German Digital Services Coordinator. Svea studied political science and international relations in Maastricht and Berkeley, and holds a master's degree from the Internet Institute at the University of Oxford. 


Uli Köppen

Chief AI Officer at Public Broadcaster Bayerischer Rundfunk

Uli Köppen is Chief AI Officer at Bayerischer Rundfunk and is responsible for BR's AI strategy. She is responsible for BR's journalistic AI and data teams and works on data research, automated journalistic products and digital strategy.
